The latest Mass Outbreak Event has dropped into with a Psychic-type theme, but is it worth players taking part in it? Players are set for a big few weeks in with the announcement of trading being added into the game, along with the new set releasing before the end of the month. However, the regular events that take place don't always seem to have a major purpose, including the Mass Outbreak Events. The event is now live and runs from January 23 until January 28, 2025,the day before trading and the new expansion come out.
This series of events sees set cards become more obtainable through exclusive wonder picks, this time based on Psychic Pokémon. Some of these can be picked up in Bonus Picks, which are free, while others are included in Rare Picks, which require the normal Wonder Stamina to open. A number of the events in such as the unpopular SP Emblem Event, have little real purpose and don't help players obtain new cards. However, for some players, the latest Mass Outbreak Event could be of use.
There are two different card lists available for the Psychic Mass Outbreak Event, those that can always be picked for free and those that will cost Wonder Stamina. The Bonus Picks will cost nothing no matter how many are opened, but are limited to common Pokémon, all which have a rarity of either one or two diamonds. These are Ralts, Kirlia, Sigilyph, Elgygem, Beheeyem, Flabebe, Floette, Florges, Swirlix, and Slurpuff.While some of these, such as Ralts and Kirlia, are vital for powerful Psychic decks, most players will already have obtained these cards on a number of occasions.
In addition to the Pokémon available from the Bonus Picks,Pack Hourglasses, Wonder Hourglasses and Shop Tickets can be earned. In total, there are 10 different combinations of Bonus Picks that can appear. Some of these will contain Pokémon exclusively, while others will be a combination of Pokémon and items.
