The Pokemon franchise is no stranger to fan art, whether it's drawings of the main characters like Ash Ketchum or the Pokemon from the video games both old and new. However, fan artists don't stop at drawing Pokemon as they appear in the games or shows and tend to switch things up when making unique Pokemon fan art.
Sometimes fan artists redesign or re-imagine the various Pokemon in the franchise. Some will redesign Pokemon like Pikachu or Charizard to look more realistic, or re-imagine them with different regional forms and even add new evolution forms to them. While some artists have taken to designing characters or creatures from other fictional properties as Pokemon, just as one Pokemon fan artist recently did.
Pokemon Fan Shows Off Incredible Fusion Art
The Reddit user Visible-Alfalfa made a post earlier today sharing their illustrations of what some members of the X-Men would look like if they were Pokemon.The art for each picture is made to resemble the graphics of previous Pokemon games. Now, the artist doesn't use the entire roster of X-Men, just a handful of members to design as Pokemon. The X-Men in the lineup include Professor X, Beast, Cyclops, Storm, Jean Grey, and James «Logan» Howlett, aka Wolverine, who's getting his own Wolverine video game by Insomniac.
In the post, each of the X-Men is designed as a different Pokemon that the user felt was compatible with the individual mutants. The first half of the characters include Professor X redesigned as the psychic-type Pokemon Kadabra with his wheelchair, Beast was made into a blue Vigoroth, and Storm became an Electric/Water-type Florges.
