Pokemon fans have spent the last 25 years going through and recreating the hundreds of official Pokemon designs. One of the most common ways fans have done so is through combinations or fusions of different Pokemon to create a unique look. In the latest example of this trend, one Pokemon fan combined Nidoran and Butterfree.
Pokemon fusions are a common art form in the Pokemon franchise and can result in anything from horrifying to adorable new designs. The Pokemon featured in this artwork, Nidoran and Butterfree, are a Poison and a Bug/Flying-type from the first generation of Pokemon.

This fusion comes from the mind of SUPERSADKIDDO, and it is an interesting new look for these Pokemon. Often when artists combine Pokemon through a fusion website they show off what that site created and that fusion in this post has a slightly different look than the artist's creation. The site's fusion takes the body of Nidoran, removes the horn, and layers on the face and skin of the Butterfree to make a simple combination. SUPERSADKIDDO, on the other hand, uses that as an inspiration to create their own version of the fusion. In their creation, the new Pokemon loses Nidoran’s ears and gains Butterfree’s wings (though in smaller form) and antenna. Their version also has the rough skin look of the Nidoran instead of Butterfree’s smooth appearance.
Undoubtedly, this new design is a recognizable fusion of two common Pokemon from the franchise’s first generation. The resulting creation is a bit jarring to look at but would likely be a useful Poison/Flying type for players of Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue. This duel typing would join this Pokemon to a list that includes Zubat
