The original five X-Men are some of the most famous mutants in all of Marvel Comics, but their leader Cyclops recently honored his OG teammates Angel and Iceman by giving their abilities «titles» that are an integral part of Krakoan war strategy. Cyclops, who is the leader of the current X-Men team and also one of the Krakoan War Captains, clearly respects Bobby and Warren's history, experience, and legacy as long-time X-Men members.
Both Warren Worthington III, codenamed Angel, and Bobby Drake, codenamed Iceman, first debuted in 1963's X-Men #1, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. They were introduced as members of the first class of mutants Charles Xavier ever taught out of the Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. Iceman and Angel's peers were Jean Grey, Scott Summers, and Hank McCoy, who all joined together to form the first X-Men team, fighting against Magneto, the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, and other threats to both humanity and mutantkind. Both Warren and Bobby have remained incredibly popular and beloved X-Men characters and have each been on, and led, multiple X-Men teams. Angel, as his name suggests, is capable of flight with his stunning angelic wings, while Iceman is an Omega-level mutant capable of creating and harnessing the power of ice, and they are both often considered some of the most experienced and talented mutants around.
