Deckbuilder roguelites are dime a dozen on PS5 and PS4, but Card-en-Ciel stands out due to its vibrant Mega Man Battle Network-esque presentation. The plot, as depicted in this trailer, is pretty dull: you take control of a character named Neon who’s tasked with restoring an in-development game which is under attack for some reason or another. One neat feature is that you will encounter characters from other titles developed by Inti Creates.
There are over 300 cards to discover, each with unique attributes. You’ll need to build your deck in such a way that you can overcome the unique challenges of each dungeon, with multiple difficulty levels unlocked as you progress. Interestingly, as you make your way through the story, you’ll discover 50 vocal songs, with one teased in the theme song embedded above. Are you planning to pick this up when it launches on 24th October?
