LotRO's latest instance encounter, The Dragon and the Storm, is now open for testing on the Bullroarer test server. The new instance is part of Daybreak's greater Year of the Dragon celebration across its library of MMOs.
Thenew instance is available for testing now through Friday, August 16th at 3 PM ET and lets players go hands-on with the new instance before it's added to the live game. The new instance is part of Daybreak's «Year of the Dragon» celebration, which it's holding across its MMOs. It will be available as both a Solo/Duo instance and a full 6-player encounter when it launches later this summer.
It also looks like the instance will become part of the Festival rotation as well, starting in 2025.
"«The Dragon and the Storm» is an instance available as a solo/duo and 6-player instance we'll launch this summer and integrate into festival instance rotation in 2025. Come and bear witness to the conclusion of Rothog's quest to entertain the people of Umbar with the instance 'The Dragon and the Storm.'"
It's been an interesting summer for The Lord of the Rings Online, with its Update 41 and new Angmar and Mordor Legendary Servers kicking off earlier this month. The Legendary Servers, for their part, have been somewicked good fun, though the team still continues to tweak the frequency of its lesser Wraith spawns, as well as working to make sure they no longer surprise you in the middle of an important story instance encounter.
