In order to catch Munkidori in , you will need to complete a few goals in the DLC. Munkidori is one of Gen 9’s new Legendary Pokémon, and is exclusive to the first expansion of the DLC pack. The creature is a part of the group called the Loyal Three, which is composed of Munkidori itself, Fezandipiti, and Okidogi. Munkidori is a dual Poison- and Psychic-type Pokémon with ape-like features and a vital part of the Kitakami Pokédex in the Pokémon DLC.
While Okidogi is a great Attack-based damage dealer, Munkidori thrives as a Special Attack damage dealer, with a decent Speed stat as well. Like all other members of the Loyal Three, Munkidori’s main Ability is Toxic Chain, which grants it a high chance of badly poisoning an opponent when the user lands hits. As one of the special new Pokémon in ’s DLC, Munkidori needs to be captured to complete the content, but there are a few prerequisites to finish before hunting the Pokémon.

To be able to catch Munkidori in, you first need to unlock his special encounter. This will only happen further down the DLC’s campaign, as the first time you fight the Pokémon, it will not be possible to catch it. The initial battle with Munkidori is considered a Titan encounter and will see you fighting a toughened version of the creature.
The goal here is to fully deplete its HP pool. After this is done and the main problems around Kitakami are resolved, you will unlock the final encounter with Munkidori in, where you will be able to capture it.
