Character banners in 3.0 will undergo a major update, according to leaks. Currently, players have access to the possibility of obtaining four 5-star characters per patch. Phase 1 banners feature two 5-star units and when the update reaches its second half, the gacha system updates and the Phase 2 banners become available, removing the Phase 1 banners. As such, players have three weeks to pull for any 5-star character they desire. The 2.7 banners, for example, will feature Sunday and Jing Yuan in Phase 1, while Fugue and Firefly will appear in Phase 2.
This may change soon, according to new leaks that are being shared. The information was shared in a post flagged as “” on Reddit. The leak says that the banner events across all of HoYoverse’s games will be updated and that the changes in the turn-based RPG will commence in Version 3.0, which kicks off the title’s third year of content. According to the leak, new characters will appear in banners that last the entirety of the update, while rerun banners will appear in Phase 2, exclusively, after half of the patch in has passed.
As is mentioned in the leak, any new characters released during and after Version 3.0 should appear in their respective update’s banner system for 42 days – or the six weeks that a patch normally lasts. Rerun characters, alternatively, should be available for only 21 days, or three weeks. This is fairly good news for players. As an example, players will be given access to two new 5-star units in Version 3.0. If the leak is true, Aglaea and The Herta in 3.0 will be available for more time.
Several new characters from Amphoreus in Honkai: Star Rail have been officially revealed by developer HoYoverse ahead of the destination’s release.
