Having to choose between Sunday and Jing Yuan 2.7’s Phase 1 banners can be a harsh task, especially when considering the limited number of Stellar Jade that one can acquire from gameplay, without purchasing more with real money. Version 2.7 has already been confirmed and detailed for HoYoverse’s turn-based RPG and, with them, the 5-star characters that will be made available in the gacha system for a limited time. The character banners for 2.7 have all been announced and they bring interesting new additions, as well as promising rerun characters.

Version 2.7 is the final patch before Version 3.0, which will kick off the RPG’s third year of content. HoYoverse has already confirmed that Version 3.0 will introduce a new playable Path, called Remembrance. This Path should be made available during the update with Aglaea and the Remembrance Trailblazer in 3.0. Remembrance’s specialty is summoning allies called memosprites, who act as a fifth playable unit on the field and can receive buffs and shields, and suffer damage. This may drastically impact the meta, and the choice of character in Version 2.7 may actually affect players moving forward.

As was previously mentioned, the character banners for Version 2.7 have been officially confirmed by developer HoYoverse during the special livestream presenting the new content for the patch. The information confirms previous leaks that teased the rerun units – the new character additions had already been confirmed by the developer before the livestream through drip marketing. As per official information, Sunday and Jing Yuan will be the 5-star characters featured during the Phase 1 banners. Alternatively, in Phase 2 of 2.7, the banner structure will accommodate the release of Fugue and a rerun for Firefly.
