The Boys has shared a brand new poster imagining Homelander taking over for the God of Thunder on the poster of Thor: Love and Thunder. Love and Thunder, which is the second Thor film helmed by Kiwi director Taika Waititi and the fourth Thor solo film overall, premiered in theaters on July 8. It follows Thor (Chris Hemsworth) after the events of Avengers: Endgame when his peaceful retirement is interrupted by the arrival of Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who must be defeated by a team of Thor and his friends including Korg (Taika Waititi), Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), and Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), now known as The Mighty Thor because she is wielding Thor's hammer Mjolnir.

That day also marked the premiere of the final episode of The Boys season 3. The Prime Video series is a completely different take on the superhero mythos, following a team known as The Boys who are led by Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and bent on taking down the superhero team known as The Seven. The series is known for its irreverent approach to the genre, incorporating gratuitous violence and graphic sexual content wherever possible. This includes one of the season's most infamous episodes, «Herogasm,» which involves a superhero orgy.
