Tango Gameworks has released one last patch for Hi-Fi Rush today, the final act of the studio after the announcement of its closure by Microsoft last week.
This isn’t quite the end of the story for the award-winning game, as it’s been re-confirmed that a physical edition of Hi-Fi Rush is still coming via Limited Run Games. Announced back in February, this will be available for both Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. Some have noted that this will likely be the one real way to preserve the game’s legacy, thanks to the licensed soundtrack meaning it will likely end up removed from sale in a few years – there are non-licensed alternatives in a Streamer mode, but without Tango being around to modify the game as licenses expire, Microsoft is likely to simply pull the game from sale, as it does with its Forza games.
“Thank you all for your continued support.” The team writes on Twitter.
“We’re working to release the physical edition of Hi-Fi RUSH with our partners at Limited Run Games, as well as a final patch to address some minor issues releasing later today.”
Patch notes have been released for these “minor issues”, and they really do seem quite minor. Here’s the Hi-Fi Rush Update 9 patch notes:
