A brand-new Helldivers 2 patch has been rolled out to improve stability and add a new UI feature.
Arrowhead Game Studios is continuing to make good on its promise to fix any ongoing bugs and crashing issues in its third-person online shooter by releasing yet another update on PC and PlayStation 5 today (April 9).
Version 01.000.202 is a generally small patch and doesn't include any major new features, like the addition of two more planetary hazards and an increased level cap in the previous update, but does make one notable quality-of-life change for gameplay.
In short, Arrowhead has adjusted the statistics UI for weapons to take explosive damage into account, so now players have a clearer picture of how much chaos they're creating. The developer explains that this change is to «give weapons that do damage with explosive projectiles a more fair representation in the UI», in particular, the PLAS-1 Scorcher.
Elsewhere in the patch notes, players should no longer run into any crashing issues when deploying and picking up Medals and Super Credits should no longer lock the player in place. You can read the full list of changes below, along with the series of known issues that Arrowhead is currently working on.
