Even Sony and developer Arrowhead Game Studios have been taken aback at the level of success Helldivers 2 has enjoyed, with the unexpectedly large number of players it’s attracting also bringing with it in-game issues with connectivity, servers, and more. Arrowhead has, of course, promised fixes for those issues, and the first of those have now been applied with a new patch.
Patch 1.000.006 has now gone live for the co-op shooter, addressing a number of different crashing issues, for starters, including crashing instances upon booting up the game, during extraction cutscenes, trying to load the game with too many PSN friends on profile, during joining cutscenes, while using ADS, and more.
The patch also improves backend connectivity, which means the likelihood of disconnecting during missions should be reduced, while matchmaking has also seen some improvements. Read the full patch notes below.
Helldivers 2 is available on PS5 and PC. Read our review of the game through here. The game recently crossed 200,000 concurrent players on Steam, while earlier in the week, it had over 360,000 concurrent players across all platforms.
