How does some bonus XP sound, divers? Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead Game Studios announced via Twitter that a bonus XP weekend will be in effect for the frantic third-person shooter effective immediately. The bonus XP will last through the end of February 18 and will grant all players XP and Requisition at a 50% multiplier on top of your base mission score.
According to Deputy Game Director Sagar Beroshi, a current problem is causing some player rewards to not pay out properly upon mission completion. A fix is in the works, but the event is intended to help alleviate the impact going into the weekend.

Unfortunately, Helldivers 2 has had somewhat of a rocky launch, primarily with matchmaking and server stability. But a recent patch seems to have fixed a lot of the issues, and even with them, diving is just so damn fun. Not to mention how cool it is already fighting a new threat.
I’ve only played a few hours, but I’ve had a blast. Sure, I’m getting overwhelmed by armored spitting bugs, my friend constantly accidentally teamkills me with a grenade launcher, and I always seem to unintentionally drop right into the middle of a massive swarm, but that’s what puts the Hell in Helldivers right?
Helldivers 2 is currently available on PC and PlayStation 5. The bonus XP weekend is active on both platforms now through the end of February 18.
