Arrowhead Game Studios’ Helldivers 2 continues to experience great success, with its peak concurrent player count crossing 255,000 on Steam. While the developer has promised new enemies, objectives, story updates and biomes (with no PvP planned), many have wondered if there will be a roadmap for upcoming content.
According to CEO Johan Pilestedt on Twitter, the team is “working on it.” However, this seems to be a new roadmap since the old one is “very out of date in comparison to what we now want to do. #more”. Given that Arrowhead recently opened two new planets for the surprise Automaton invasion and wants to expand its team for future content, big plans are seemingly brewing at the studio.
Stay tuned for more details and updates in the coming days. Helldivers 2 is available for PS5 and PC. It’s been in development for nearly eight years and sold almost one million units as of February 11th, though that number is probably higher now.
