Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions has been revealed by Warner Bros, and it will be a multiplayer game coming to PC and consoles. The game is being developed by Unbroken Studios, and it is a completely separate game to Hogwarts Legacy. A release date is yet to be confirmed for Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions.
There has been confirmation that there will be playtests for Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, and you can register your interest at the official website. As the game will be a multiplayer game an internet connection will be required. You will be able to play solo or in teams online, and players will also be able to create their own champions. The FAQ states that the game is its own thing in the Wizarding World, with the statement saying, “While Portkey Games are not direct adaptations of the books and films, the games are firmly rooted in the magical universe of the Wizarding World. While remaining true to J.K. Rowling’s original vision, Portkey game developers chart new territory by creating fresh ways for fans to immerse themselves in the Wizarding World.”
In our Hogwarts Legacy review, we wrote, “The sights and sounds alone make Hogwarts Legacy the dream Harry Potter game fans have been longing for. There’s an intriguing mystery to unravel, though you’re bound to spend most of your time exploring a wealth of side content, visiting virtual landmarks and roleplaying as a Hogwarts student. That said, it’s more successful in being a sandbox teeming with nostalgia rather than a stand-out action RPG in its own right, let down by gameplay foibles and spellcasting combat that quickly slides into repetition.”
