Universal Pictures just screened new footage from Halloween Ends at CinemaCon that hypes the battle between Jamie Lee Curtis' Laurie Strode and Michael Myers. Halloween Ends is a sequel to 2021's Halloween Kills and serves as the third film in the rebooted trilogy overseen by director David Gordon Green and Blumhouse Productions. While Green's latest film is technically the thirteenth installment in the overall franchise, the reboot trilogy largely ignores previous Halloween adaptations and acts a direct sequel to John Carpenter's original 1978 Halloween.
Since Carpenter's groundbreaking movie, Curtis' character has been stalked by the serial killer Michael Myers. Throughout the franchise, Laurie has grown from a teenage babysitter to a ruthless fighter as she constantly fends off Michael. Green's 2018 Halloween saw Laurie as a grizzled warrior ready to defend herself and her family from the killer. Despite Michael being set ablaze at the end of the film, the killer survives and seeks revenge against Laurie in Halloween Kills. The 2021 sequel ends with a surprising twist that could only further fuel Laurie's rage against Michael, which appears to be coming in full force in Halloween Ends.
