Halloween Ends will be the end of the Halloween franchise’s reboot trilogy, and it’s said to be an ending not many people will agree with, and a tease related to another John Carpenter movie might reveal why, as Allyson could kill Laurie. Among the current trends in the film industry are reboots and “requels”, and these have been especially common in the horror genre. One of the biggest examples of these is the Halloween saga, which has been rebooted with a new trilogy that, once more, retconned the franchise.
The Halloween franchise began in 1978 with John Carpenter’s movie of the same name, which introduced the audience to serial killer Michael Myers, who was sent to Smith’s Grove Sanitarium after killing his older sister when he was six years old. Michael escaped 15 years later and returned to Haddonfield, Illinois, where he began to stalk Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) and her friends. Laurie became Halloween’s final girl, but since then, the franchise has gone through different retcons, remakes, and now a reboot, and Laurie hasn’t always been the only final girl.
