A fan poster for Halloween Endsimagines the death of Michael Myers. After appearing in John Carpenter's original Halloweenin 1979, Michael would return for six sequels, two films from director Rob Zombie, and another rebooted trilogy that started in 2018. David Gordon Green's 2018 Halloween faired well with critics and fans, but the sequel Halloween Kills failed to make an impression. The director is now finishing up the end of the trilogy, with Halloween Ends set to release this October.
Halloween Ends finished filming a few months ago, but there hasn't been much else revealed about the movie. Universal hasn't released any official marketing material, and fans have been relying on stars like Jamie Lee Curtis (Laurie Strode) and James Jude Courtney (Michael Myers) to give updates and behind-the-scenes images. The story for Halloween Ends is being kept under wraps, but the movie will start with a four-year time jump. Halloween Kills' final scene shows Karen being killed and reveals that Michael Myers is essentially a supernatural and unkillable being. However, that hasn't stopped people from theorizing that Michael and/or Laurie will die when Halloween Ends hits theaters.
