Using Unreal Engine 5, YouTuber TeaserPlay created a concept trailer for a Grand Theft Auto: Vice City remake that manages to outclass the Definitive Edition from Rockstar Games. The buggy GTA: The Trilogy — Definitive Edition launched in a poor state late last year on PC and consoles, with all three games suffering from an almost inconceivable amount of in-game glitches and performance issues.
Grand Theft Auto 3's remaster featured a few in-universe inconsistencies, such as gang members donning the wrong logos on their outfits. Teleporting police officers robbed some Vice City players of a chance at a clean getaway. And San Andreas players found themselves unable to save game progress. Graphical glitches ran rampant across all three of the classic Grand Theft Auto titles, too. Incredibly thick strands of rain in San Andreas counted among the most notorious of such examples. While several post-launch patches have helped improve GTA Trilogy's myriad issues, little to nothing can be done about the poorly received visuals. As such, though Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive billed last fall's release as the definitive way to play the older trio of titles, GTA faithful hold out hope that full remakes will eventually see the light of day.
