While Street Fighter 6 was revealed earlier this year, it was a brief teaser trailer that showed off some of its characters in a new realistic art style. The recent State of Play presentation from Sony, however, gave fans an in-depth look at what to expect for the upcoming sequel, with a trailer going further into the content it will provide. This includes a brief overview of Street Fighter 6's new single-player mode, World Tour, as well as some of the characters that will be returning in this entry.
Luke and Ryu were already confirmed to be returning to Street Fighter 6, since the initial teaser trailer included both of them. However, this trailer also gave a look at new character Jamie, who utilizes a drunken boxing style, with some breakdancing moves thrown in as well. The original fighting game girl Chun-Li is also confirmed to be making a return, sporting a brand-new design. While these four have been officially revealed, concept art of Street Fighter 6 has been leaked online, providing a look into a possible starting roster of the game.
Street Fighter 6 Will Introduce New 'Drive' System, Modern Control Scheme
This concept art includes the four aforementioned characters and their designs, but also shows off eighteen additional fighters, which possibly brings the total to twenty-two characters for the starting roster. A number of additional characters from past Street Fighters, new and old, have redesigned looks. The entire original eight of Street Fighter 2, including Ken, Zangief, Guile, and Blanka are present, while newer characters like Juri, Ed, and Rashid also seem to be playable.
