However, the biggest headliner is the presence of real-world rap star Dr. Dre, who provided his voice, likeness, and then-new music to the game. The Contract was a big hit with players, but years after its release, some of the luster has worn off when replaying it.

However, this functionality is unavailable in The Contract, so players have to watch the cutscenes every time.
While several players agreed with the OP that it's annoying to have to rewatch the cutscenes every time, others pointed out that it may be due to the exclusivity of Dr. Dre's involvement. The Contract previewed new tracks by the artist, and a lot of money was likely tied up in the deal with Rockstar Games.
