Grand Theft Auto VI is setting out to be a much better-looking game than even Red Dead Redemption 2, as highlighted in a new video shared online.
The new comparison, put together by Cycu1, puts sequences from the reveal trailer side by side with similar sequences in the second entry in the Old West open-world series, further highlighting how the visual leap will be massive, especially when it comes to the finer details, physics and more.
Considering the footage from the Grand Theft Auto VI reveal trailer is not really indicative of the final game's quality, the open-world title is surely going to look even better when it releases in 2025. From the trailer, it's already clear how the game will also employ ray tracing, which is set to bring lighting to a whole different level, compared not only to the previous entry in the series but also to most open-world games.
Grand Theft Auto VI will launch sometime in 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series. A PC version has yet to be announced, but given Rockstar Games' track record, it will take the next entry in the series some time to release on the platform.
