Polyphony Digital has unveiled the latest Gran Turismo 7 PS5, PS4 update that'll bring another cast of cars and features to the real driving simulator. Patch 1.34 will be available to download from 10pm PST today or 6am BST tomorrow; it all depends on your region. And as series creator Kazunori Yamauchi teased over the weekend, the latest version contains three new vehicles to race.
They are the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce ’67, Greening Auto Company Maverick, and the Group A racing-focused Nissan GT-R NISMO (R32) ’90. All three will be up for purchase once you've downloaded the PS5, PS4 update, which also brings with it an Engine Swap option in GT Auto. The PlayStation Blog explains: «It is now possible to perform an ‘Engine Swap’ from the ‘Car Maintenance & Service’ menu at GT Auto (Collector Level 50). On applicable vehicles, this service allows users to purchase and equip new engines from different cars.»
The Tuning Shop has also been updated with a new Ultimate category, unlocked at Collector Level 50. This will allow you to further upgrade your cars thanks to new tuning options and rare parts. You can then also complete another two Extra Menus at the GT Café: SEMA Gran Turismo Award and Group A. The former is unlocked at Collector Level 37 while the latter is yours a little earlier at Collector Level 33.
Finally, two more Scapes transport you to the Lake District in the northern part of England and Tokyo's National Stadium. We're not entirely sure how you'll get a car inside there, but we're looking forward to seeing the results.
