Grab The Elder Scrolls Online For Free On Epic Games Store Until July 27th
It looks like theleak last week was true, as The Elder Scrolls Online is free on the Epic Games Store now through July 27th. It's just the base game, but it's a start if you've never dove into the MMO.
We knew that ESO was likely going to be one of the free games as part of EGS' free game promotions this month after a leak was spotted by multiple leakers and outlets across the web last week. Now it's confirmed, withthe MMO dropping on the Epic Games Store today. While the free game is just the base game of The Elder Scrolls Online, you can grab the various Chapter expansions in the Necrom Deluxe Edition bundle listed on the store as well. Necrom was released last month on both PC and consoles and is a return to form for The Elder Scrolls Online team, bringing players back to Morrowind via the Telvanni Peninsula and the new Arcanist class.
There is also a Fortnite crossover, though not to the degree that leakers were expecting last week. Those who grab The Elder Scrolls Online for free on the Epic Games Store will also get the Sigil of the Alliance War Back Bling in-game for Fortnite, while those who buy the Necrom chapter itself will also see some Ebonheart Battleaxe treatments in the battle royale, including a skin for your trusty pickaxe.
The Elder Scrolls Online is currently holdingan event to get players to level up the new Arcanist class, handing out a free gift bundle for those who get on to level 10 before July 28th. Additionally, Update 39 dropped on the Public Test Server earlier this month, giving players a chance to check out the changes coming to ESO when it hits PC and the console live servers soon.
