The CW's Gotham Knights pilot has begun revealing its cast as the DC drama taps its first two series regulars. With the Arrowverse being one of The CW's biggest properties since 2012, the network is always looking to expand its line-up of DC shows. Despite the fact the ongoing Arrowverse shows haven't been renewed yet, it's not stopping The CW from developing its next DC adventure. While a Gotham Knights video game is also on its way, the TV adaptation has no ties to that.
Developed by Batwoman's Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux, and Natalie Abrams, Gotham Knights focuses on Bruce Wayne's rebellious adopted son who puts together a band of misfits that become the titular heroes. The twist, however, is that his son will form alliances with the children of Batman's villains. After they all get framed for Batman's murder, they join forces as the Gotham Knights to become the city's new, unexpected protectors. While the producers/writers come from Batwoman, this is not intended to be a spinoff series as it will be a standalone show. After scoring a pilot order in February, Gotham Knights has begun casting for the series premiere that begins filming in April.
