If you accidentally break the screen on your Pixel Watch your only option is likely going to be to replace it rather than repair the cracked screen.
Google confirmed this week that it currently doesn’t have a repair program in place for the Pixel Watch’s screen, even though iFixIt notes a repair for the device is technically possible.
“At this moment, we don’t have any repair option for the Google Pixel Watch. If your watch is damaged, you can contact the Google Pixel Watch Customer Support Team to check your replacement options,” Google spokesperson Bridget Starkey told The Verge.
In its correspondence with the site, Google also noted that its device warranty for the Pixel Watch does not apply to damage that is caused by things like normal wear and tear, accidents, and neglect.
Google also doesn’t offer any sort of extended warranty on the Pixel Watch, so there’s not an option of any kind for accident-prone Pixel Watch owners who want to keep the screen protected as well.
Earlier this week Google started offering repair kits for the Pixel Tablet through iFixit, which allows customers to make their own repairs to the tablet should it become damaged. iFixIt provides not only the parts for the repair but also a guide for customers walking them through how to do the repair on their own.
Last year, Google also introduced repair kits for the Pixel line of phones on the site.
