Google's Pixel Watch 2 looks like a promising update to last year's excellent Pixel Watch. It's entering the market alongside another recent big-name wearable, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6, which we awarded an excellent four-star rating to in August. We're in the process of testing the new Pixel Watch now, but let's see how the two smartwatches compare when it comes to design, features, price, and more.

Both watches have always-on AMOLED screens that promise excellent contrast and color, but Google lags a bit in size, brightness, and sharpness. The Pixel Watch 2's 1.2-inch display shows 320 pixels per inch and can put out up to 1,000 nits, and those numbers are hardly anything to sneeze at. But the Galaxy Watch
