PlayStation has announced the release date for on PC. Sucker Punch's samurai epic was previously a PlayStation exclusive when it launched on PS4 in 2020, with a upgrade on both PS4 and PS5 in 2021, and a PC release for the game has long been speculated by fans.
A post on the official PlayStation X account confirmed that will be coming to PC on May 16, 2024, and has been ported by Nixxes, who brought other PlayStation exclusives to PC in the past, such as. The PC release of will include the full game, the Iki Island expansion, and the cooperative online multiplayer Legends mode, along with various PC-specific enhancements.

Sony does still recommend playing the PC version of on a use a PlayStation DualSense controller yo make the most of its haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for a more immersive experience.
will also have unlocked frame rates on PC, as well as a variety of graphics settings and presets including ultrawide monitor support. The title is fully optimized for 21:9 and 32:9 resolutions and supports 48:9 resolutions for triple monitor setups, letting players experience more of the expansive terrain and ancient landmarks with a cinematic field of view.
Nixxes also utilizes the latest performance-enhancing technologies to further enhance on PC. Both upscaling and frame generation options are available through AMD FSR 3 and NVIDIA DLSS 3 — the latter of which can also be used to improve image quality — with Intel XeSS upscaling also supported.
With these improvements making for an even more visually stunning experience, and Nixxes positive track record with porting PlayStation titles, players should have plenty to look forward to when comes to PC, regardless of whether they have played the game on PlayStation before.
