Ubisoft and developer Level Infinite have showcased Assassin’s Creed Jade, the mobile-first game coming to iOS and Android. Sign ups for a closed beta are now live.
Set in Ancient China and 3rd Century BC, where the Qin dynasty has unified the country and secured trade routes to the West, you’ll step into the clothes of a fully customisable Assassin character and learn the way of the Xia.
The world reaches from the in construction Great Wall of China and the capitol of Xianyong, with a narrative that will have you unravelling conspiracies, battling desert raiders and more.
A beta test for Assassin’s Creed Jade will take place later this summer, with pre-registration going live today. That’s important for Level Infinite, as the game is using Unreal Engine and shooting for “console quality” visuals across a broad set of mobile hardware, and is trying to cook up a suitable set of touch controls for the franchise’s assassin action.
