screenrant.comFarming the materials for Xianyun’s Ascension in is the first step to unlocking the character’s full potential as a support unit. Xianyun is a 5-star hero who debuts in Version 4.4. She is the human form of the Adepti known as Cloud Retainer. Xianyun has an Anemo Vision and uses a catalyst in battle, allowing her to trigger Swirl Elemental Reactions with her Normal Attacks. This is, however, not the focus of Xianyun’s kit in , as she is instead specialized in buffing and healing her teammates, while also granting them an increase to their jump height.
In essence, Xianyun allows her party members to jump higher and, with it, they can become Plunging Attack DPS. This gameplay mechanic has been present since the very beginning of the game, though only a few characters actually benefit from Plunging Attacks. The most useful character that can accomplish this on his own is Xiao, an Anemo DPS unit who can jump higher with his Elemental Burst and continuously dive onto enemies. Xianyun’s Burst allows her teammates to do the same. Before taking advantage of her abilities, however, you should Ascend Xianyun in by farming the right materials.
According to Honey Hunter World’s data compilation for the character, Xianyun will require most of what is needed for 5-star characters. As an Anemo unit, the first materials you will need to farm are from the Vayuda Turquoise stone family. Vayuda Turquoise Sliver, Fragment, Chunk, and Gemstones can often be obtained from most bosses that have some sort of wind-based power. This includes the Anemo Hypostasis, Maguu Kenki, and the Setekh Wenut, for instance. This is not limited to world bosses in , however, as Stormterror and the Shouki no Kami weekly bosses can also provide Vayuda Turquoise stones.
