A new Genshin Impact leak has given more details about Chiori's potential appearance on the Standard Banner. The game runs on a gacha-based system which allows players to try their luck and pull for different characters that can have either a five-star or four-star rarity.
Unlike Genshin Impact's Limited Character Banner, which offers a set of specific characters for a short period, the Standard Banner features a permanent lineup of playable units. At the moment, this banner features seven different characters, with the Pyro claymore user Dehya being the most recent addition.
A couple of weeks ago, developer HoYoverse confirmed the arrival of a new Genshin Impact character named Chiori, who has already made multiple appearances in Fontaine's main storyline. Chiori is a popular fashion designer from Inazuma who currently resides and works in the recently added Hydro nation. Over the last couple of months, rumors have been hinting that Chiori could end up joining the Standard Banner, just like Dehya and Tighnari did during the Sumeru arc. Both of these characters first appeared on the Limited Banner and then switched to the Standard Banner once their run ended. However, one of the more credible leakers in the community, hxg_diluc, has recently debunked these rumors, claiming that Chiori will not become part of the Standard Banner, at least not for now.
One of the reasons behind these rumors is the fact that she will be the second Geo user to arrive in a short period after Navia joined the roster during Genshin Impact update 4.4. Before Navia's arrival, developer HoYoverse had not released a new Geo user in over two years. When it comes to her weapon type, rumors have confirmed that Chiori will be a five-star sword user.
