In a Special Program broadcast dedicated to Genshin Impact Version 2.5, developer miHoYo shared a tease of the Chasm as an explorable area that will join the game in Version 2.6. The Chasm in Genshin Impact constitutes a mostly inaccessible space located near Liyue. In-universe, the locale is best known for its significance to the Liyue nation's mining enterprise.
The minimal parts of the Chasm that players can currently explore often prove rich in valuable resources, though not-so-friendly creatures tend to roam about. As such, those who dare venture near the mines would do well to prepare for a scuffle or two ahead of time. In addition to being rich in resources, the Chasm boasts quite an interesting history. The area apparently existed thousands of years ago, forming after a falling star crash-landed on the Genshin Impact continent known as Teyvat. Undoubtedly, the Chasm plays host to many more mysteries and legends that beg to be revealed in one way or another.
