The Epic Games Store has quickly become one of the main places PC gamers go to when looking to purchase the latest titles. While the online platform has received criticism over the years since its launch, and continues to face issues even today with achievement syncing problems in the Epic Store becoming annoyance for players, its success is still clear to see.
Often, new and exciting titles like the recently released Sifu are becoming available on the Epic Games Store before they are available on Valve's rival platform Steam. However, for some Epic's store hasn't quite caught up with the Steam store, and could do with implementing a few features to help the Epic Games Store truly become a Steam alternative, rather than something PC gamers install alongside the swaths of other launchers on their desktops. One such feature currently missing from the Epic Games Store is gifts.
Epic Games Store May Finally Be Adding Profiles Soon
One user though, has taken to Reddit with their idea of what gifts in the Epic Games Store could look like. In a short video, the user has gone beyond editing a screenshot of the store page and adding a gifts button. Instead, the user shows the gifts button sharing space with the add to cart button in the Epic store's purchasing tab. From there, the user searches through their friends list to find the recipient for their gift, before typing in a message and signing the gift. From there, the game is sent off to the recipient.
While there's nothing overtly flashy in the way the user has created a concept for the way the Epic Games Store could implement gifting, the idea of giving a game as a gift is not a complex one, and so a simple solution is all that's needed. Some viewers of the Reddit post had some
