More than three years have passed since the Epic Games Store started its free weekly games initiative. It's somewhat of a surprise that it's still going strong, but Epic has confirmed that the program will at least continue until the end of 2022. Every Thursday at the same time--8 AM PT / 11 AM ET--Epic gives up between one and three free games. You merely need to create a free Epic account and enable two-factor authentication to start snagging freebies. At this point, Epic has given away well over 100 free games, and there's no sign that the program will stop any time soon. We keep this article up to date weekly to highlight both the current free games and next week's offerings.
From now until March 10 at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET, you can claim a trio of freebies: Black Widow: Recharged, Centipede: Recharged, and the Epic Slayer Kit for use in the free-to-play action-RPG Dauntless. Centipede and Black Widow are new versions of arcade classics from Atari. Both games are fast-paced shooters with colorful visuals. While they are authentic to their respective histories, they have modern flourishes as well as multiple modes, including a challenge mode in each game that features 30 unique challenges.
Starting March 10, you can snag Cities: Skylines, an excellent city-building game that originally released in 2015. Developed by Paradox Interactive, a studio that's revered for its work on strategy and resource management sims, Cities: Skylines is one of the best city-building games of all time.
