The Batman is already set to feature many iconic comic book villains like the Penguin and the Riddler, but for star Robert Pattinson, he has his eye on another potential foe for his character to face in a sequel film.
Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman will be heavily inspired by noir films, particularly from the 1970s, and will feature a much more reclusive and reckless version of The Dark Knight as he puts his detective skills to the test in order to solve several crimes connected to his tragic past. Reeves' new vision for Batman and Gotham City's inhabitants has many people excited, including the caped crusader himself.
Robert Pattinson Describes Matt Reeves' The Batman As 'A Sad Movie'
In Den of Geek's The Batman cover story in the new issue for their magazine, Pattinson has shared how his hyper-violent Batman already has him thinking of what villains he will cross paths with in the future. “I’d love to do something like Court of Owls,” Pattinson claimed, referring to the DC Comics horror story about an organized crime group and secret society made up of wealthy Gothamites who have secretly ruled Gotham for centuries. Members of the cult-like group are known for wearing owl masks, kidnapping children, and training them to become assassins.
While this group/storyline would certainly fit right into Reeves' more gothic and sinister universe that is closely related to the comics, there's still no telling where Reeves has his story headed towards next.
