Having to choose to pull for Arlecchino or Lyney in 4.6’s banners can be a difficult task, especially considering how similar the characters are in some aspects and whether or not they will fit some team comps. Arlecchino is finally becoming a playable character after her debut as an NPC during the Fontaine storyline – in fact, she is the only new character in 4.6. Nevertheless, the patch is bringing in a load of content beyond her release as a playable unit. This includes a new area to the south of the Fontaine region.
In addition to that, the update is also adding two new important Character Story quests. The first of them revolves around Arlecchino herself, which will be set in Fontaine and help explore her relationship with the House of the Hearth. The other questline will be focused on Cyno, set in the region of Sumeru, and how he gained his powers. The update is massive for a late-year patch, which is good since players will have plenty of content. During this time, they may even pull for the new character or try their luck with rerun banners in 4.6.
As was announced during the Version 4.6 livestream, following a series of leaks weeks before, the Phase 1 banners will star Arlecchino and Lyney. As was previously mentioned, the Fatui Harbinger is making her debut in the game. Lyney, on the other hand, is going through his first rerun since his arrival back in Version 4.0. They will be featured in banners simultaneously, so, if players do not have an abundant source of Primogems in, they may have to make a choice between both characters since obtaining both in a single run can be difficult.
Phase 2 banners, which are expected to start on May 15, will host reruns of Wanderer and Baizhu.
