Developer Q-Games has announced its latest title, PixelJunk Scrappers Deluxe, now has a release date. The beat-'em-up is heading to both PS5 and PS4 on 27th July 2023.
As the name implies, this isn't the first release of Scrappers. It initially launched on Apple Arcade a few years ago, but this Deluxe edition of the game brings it onto consoles and PC with full cross-play support. If you don't know what the game is, you play as one of four trash collectors, stacking up rubbish and throwing it into the back of the truck as it trundles to the right. However, you'll also come up against robot baddies to beat up, so you'll be cleaning up the streets in more ways than one.
You can play solo with AI companions, or with up to three buddies in local or online co-op. As you progress, you'll unlock different scrappers to play as, and can customise your team's truck with a host of interchangeable parts. If the other PixelJunk games are any indication, this should be a lot of fun. Thankfully, there's not long to wait before we can all check it out for ourselves.

Apple arcade… That means this will be complete trash.
@Mio_Nakashima Many good games have released for Apple Arcade. And Apple Arcade isn't even related to a game's development in any way. They're just a platform for games on iOS, like Steam on PC. Any game could release on Apple Arcade.
I always thought Sony owned pixels junk stuff.
