Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter Rise has sold over 13 million units worldwide. Its last milestone was 12.7 million units sold as of March 31st. As for its expansion Sunbreak, it crossed six million units sold, previously hitting 5.4 million.
Monster Hunter Rise first launched in March 2021 for Nintendo Switch before coming to PC in January 2022. Sunbreak would launch simultaneously on both platforms, adding Master Rank quests and new end-game activities like Anomaly Investigations. Both would eventually arrive on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S this year, further boosting sales.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak saw its last major update this month, adding Primordial Malzeno as a new monster for PC and Switch players. PlayStation and Xbox players will see it along with Title Updates 4 and 5 on August 24th. Capcom hasn’t revealed what’s next for the series, but stay tuned for any announcements in the coming months.
