Gameforge Will Publish Cubio, An Upcoming Sandbox Game Creation Platform
Gameforge has announced a deal with 01Studio to publish the Canadian developer's upcoming sandbox platform, Cubio. The deal, which is global, will bring the sandbox game creation platform, designed for all ages and skill levels, to life.
Cubio is a “full-featured sandbox game creation platform” that 01Studio says will allow gamers across the spectrum to create, whether they have interest in becoming devs one day, or just want a space to make their own. The platform is designed to be intuitive and simple to use, with a creator mode that lets you create content in a few clicks, customize it, and essentially build your own game products in cubic-style graphics. If listening to that makes you think of the blocky look of a game like Minecraft, you're not exactly going in the wrong direction.
A reveal trailer released with the announcement features all content created by players in the pre-alpha build. Not only do we get a glimpse at some of the social elements, build possibilities, and tools, which include a few AI-powered options, we see teamwork at play.
You can choose to work on projects solo or work as a team before sharing to the community to try out what you’ve created. According to the press release announcing the publishing deal, 01Studio co-founder Dany Gervais describes their goals further.

With the help of our community, we developed a lot of weird and crazy tools that will let you easily develop any great idea you have in your mind. Thanks to Gameforge for their support, we were able to build Cubio into the full-featured platform we have always wanted.”
