Konami took to the social media website X (formerly known as Twitter) to clarify. The compilation was already announced for consoles, but only PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
"In response to the many requests we have received from fans worldwide, Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 will also be available for the PlayStation 4," Konami wrote in the post. A PC version was also announced, but does not include mouse and keyboard support.
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 was revealed last May during a PlayStation State of Play showcase. It's a compilation featuring Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid (+ the VR Missions/Special Missions), Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. The collection is set to release on Oct. 24, although the PS4 version has yet to receive a release date.
