With post-launch support far exceeding other FromSoftware titles with additional content and a series of balance patches, as well as the inkling rumors of a fully-fledged DLC on the way, Elden Ring is still going strong nearly a year on from its record-setting release.

Reddit user HemingwayBells21121 shared their recent misadventure through the Lands Between in Elden Ring, coming face-to-face with a deadly trap. Entering a sparsely-lit, pitched-ceiling cathedral, HemingwayBells21121 took the time to read one of the helpful player-written messages scrawled on the ground. The message read, «Distracted! Therefore laggardly sort,» with the phantom of its author appearing to point back toward the way they came. Curious, HemingwayBells21121 panned the camera behind them to find a devious sprung trap in the form of a massive boulder careening their way. The clip ends before impact, but the only two possible outcomes are their dodging out of the way in the split-second they had to react or having their character pancaked by the boulder.
