From the looks of it, EA is surviving player interest in remakes of Dead Space 2 and Dead Space 3.
Last month's Dead Space Remake harvested great reviews, and fans of the franchise have expressed to be very happy with this proper remake of 2008's original Dead Space. Not only fans and critics are impressed with EA Motive's faithful remake, but Dead Space co-creator Glen Scofield also praised EA for delivering a remake that's faithful to the original.
"To all of you who worked on the original, thank you for your contributions to an amazing game", Scofield, who's now the CEO of Striking Distance Studios, wrote on Twitter. "It has withstood the test of time. And to Motive, thank you for your care in remaking the game faithfully. Congratulations."
As for the game's sales - we're not really sure how the remake has performed globally, but we do know that it topped the UK boxed charts following its launch (although boxed sales were lower than The Callisto Protocol). Will we see more Dead Space remakes? Fans would surely love to see it happen, and from the looks of it, EA is also open to the idea of doing more Dead Space Remakes.
At least, that's what a new EA survey seems to suggest, as posted by Twitter user Dillon Rogers and picked up by Insider-Gaming. In the survey, EA asks those participating in the survey how interested they would be in a "similar" remake of both Dead Space 2 and Dead Space 3. We've included screenshots of the questions from the survey down below:
Interesting for sure, and while this doesn't mean that these remakes will happen, it does indicate that EA is at least considering the idea to remaster both Dead Space 2 and 3.
Dead Space Remake is available now globally for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
