Sherlock Holmes The Awakened, the remake of the third entry in the adventure game series by Frogwares, has gone gold and will release next month on PC and consoles, as confirmed today with a brand new trailer.
With the game being content complete and playable from beginning to end, the Ukrainian developer confirmed today that Sherlock Holmes The Awakened has gone gold and will release on April 11th, 2023, on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Nintendo Switch worldwide. The release date announcement trailer, which provides a new quick look at the game, can be watched below.
When it launches next month, Sherlock Holmes The Awakened will be available in three different editions. Alongside the Standard Edition, a Deluxe Edition will be released for all platforms, including a copy of the game, a side quests pack, and six exclusive outfits. Exclusive to PC will be the Premium Edition, which will include all of the content of the Deluxe Edition as well as a digital artbook and soundtrack. Three custom outfits for Holmes and Watson have also been confirmed as pre-order bonus for all formats.
Last month, PC players got the first taste of Sherlock Holmes The Awakened with a playable demo that was released during Steam Next Fest. I had the chance to check out the demo before it was made available to the public, highlighting how the game is setting out to be a solid entry in the series despite it not attempting to innovate the series' formula like Chapter One did in my preview.
Sherlock Holmes The Awakened launches on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on April 11th, 2023.
