11 bit studios’ Frostpunk 2 launched last week, first in Advanced Access and then on September 20th for all players. Alongside strong critical acclaim, it’s also done well sales-wise, with the developer confirming over 350,000 sold thus far. Furthermore, its total estimated revenue has covered the marketing and production costs.
Of course, launch is only the start for the developer, which is working “on improving your experience with hotfixes and patches.” It also has a Season Pass containing three post-launch paid DLC packs, though it hasn’t indicated when they’ll arrive.
Then there are the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 versions, which haven’t received any updates or a release window. Stay tuned for updates in the meantime.
Frostpunk 2 is currently available for PC, taking place 30 years after the original. New London has evolved in many ways, but once The Captain passes on, it’s up to The Steward to pick up the pieces. Check out our review – we gave it a nine out of ten.
We are super happy to announce that we’ve already exceeded 350 000 copies of <a href=«https://twitter.com/hashtag/Frostpunk?src=hash&ref_src=» https:>#Frostpunk
2 sold!
What’s more, the total estimated sales revenue has already covered the costs we spent on producing and marketing the game.
