Fortnite has revealed the first official teaser for Chapter 5 Season 2, drastically increasing fan hype. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 launched on December 3, 2023, and it replaced the beloved Season OG. While players certainly enjoyed the return of the original Fortnite map, they had to say goodbye and welcome a brand-new island with the release of Chapter 5. For the past three months, gamers have been enjoying the heist theme that came with Fortnite Season 1: Underground.
A part of the fanbase feels the spy theme is old news now, and Fortnite needs something completely new to shake things up a bit. Leaks about the upcoming season have been circling the community for weeks now. For a major part of Season 1, gamers were nearly certain that the next season would be related to Ancient Greek mythology, and as the season gets closer to the end, everything seems to be pointing in this direction as well. Fans knew that the start of a new season was set into motion when earthquakes started happening on the island.
First, cracks started to appear on the ground near Ruined Reels. Eventually they filled up with lava and this led to the Titan Hand event, which took place on March 2. A giant hand rose out of the ground, holding up Pandora's Box wrapped in chains. The entire community had to come together to destroy the chains and get the box to fall and break open. The box had mysterious drawings on it, so most players could barely wait to learn more, and now the time has finally come: Epic Games has revealed the first teaser for Chapter 5 Season 2.
In the image, a godly man is visible, and there is a thunderbolt-shaped constellation above him. This is one of the constellations that appeared on Pandora's Box. It is likely the picture represents Zeus, an almighty deity, known for his ability to control lightning and thunder. Many players believe that he will be one of the skins available in the upcoming Battle Pass.
