As For Honor enters into the final season of its fifth year, Ubisoft's popular fighter combining warriors and fighting styles from all throughout history has shown no signs of slowing down. The game's Frozen Shores expansion, launched early in December, brings the long-running fighting game to a chilly tundra setting and had previously teased a new character joining the roster for the conclusion of its fifth year. Now, a new trailer released on Ubisoft's YouTube channel has officially unveiled the Pirate as the newest class joining in the fight.
Throughout the first half-decade since For Honor released in February 2017, the game has frequently added new characters to its roster. With characters ranging from fully armored knights and fierce vikings to the more nimble and adept fighting styles of the game's Samurai and Wu Lin classes, For Honor currently boasts a roster of 29 characters with each featuring unique playstyles and tactics. Now, after being teased in the season preview trailer, For Honor has finally raised the curtain on the 30th character to join For Honor as the pirate slices and blasts their way into the medieval warfare.

The two-minute trailer released Thursday on Ubisoft's official channel finally reveals the previously teased Pirate and shows off a stylized story teaser introducing For Honor's newest character, as well as plenty of previews of her gameplay. Pirate's gameplay is a fitting mix of swordplay and gunplay with the female pirate weaving blasts from her pistol into her combos, as well as the character's executions. The trailer also teases a long-ranged attack with Pirate throwing an explosive into a crowd of oncoming enemies.
