Final Fantasy fans got a closer look at Vincent Valentine and Cid Highwind in a new trailer released for Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth at The Game Awards 2023. The trailer also served as the debut of FF7: Rebirth’s main theme ‘No Promises to Keep’ composed by famed Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu.
The new trailer gave fans a peek at a variety of key scenes from the game, including the death of Zack at the hands of Shinra soldiers, an introduction to Cid Highwind and Vincent Valentine, notable locations such as the Gold Saucer (where Aerith performs the game’s main theme), Kalm, and Junon.
Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth also took home the award for Most Anticipated Game at The Game Awards. In addition, a surprising collaboration with Apex Legends was also announced at the show. The short trailer ends with an image of Crypto as Cloud Strife, Wraith as Vincent Valentine, and Horizon, suggesting that the game’s Legends will get Final Fantasy VII skins as part of the event.
