Got some extra cash to spend?
By Eddie Makuch on
At the Consumer Electronics Show this week in Las Vegas, TCL announced a new TV, but not just any new TV--a 115" TV that carries a price tag of «under $20,000.» Many expect it to cost $19,999, which would technically be under $20,000 before tax.
Described by TCL as the «world's largest QD Mini LED TV,» the 115QM89, as it's called, is billed as the «ultimate home theater.» It has 20,000 «dimming zones» and an «ultra» processor that aims to offer «huge, yet pristine images.»
TCL executive Scott Ramirez said the company wanted to outdo its 98" TV that it unveiled in 2023, so it added 17 more inches.
CNET reported that the TV weighs nearly 200 pounds and noted that the picture quality seemed to be impressive for a screen of that size. The TV is set to go on sale in Spring or Summer 2024.
It's not the biggest TV ever, though, as Samsung unveiled a mammoth 292-inch «Wall» TV at CES 2020.
TCL also announced a range of other more reasonable and affordable TVs at CES this year, and you can see a rundown of them on TCL's website.
