Formlabs keeps adding materials to its 3D printing ecosystem and now it can 3D print teeth for dentures.
Somerville, Massachusetts Formlabs revealed the new capabilities at CES 2024, the big tech trade show in Las Vegas.
The innovations include a Resin Pumping System and two new materials—Polypropylene Powder and Premium Teeth Resin. These new ways to 3D print goods could be game changers for industries from dentistry to industrial manufacturing, the company said.
With over 130,000 printers sold worldwide, Formlabs has cemented its position as a leader in the 3D printing landscape. The Resin Pumping System and the introduction of new materials mark significant strides in bolstering the efficiency, versatility, and scalability of Formlabs’ 3D printing solutions.

Formlabs’ chief product officer Dávid Lakatos said in a statement, “3D printing production is steadily increasing, and the introduction of Resin Pumping System, Polypropylene Powder, and Premium Teeth Resin are three big steps in our mission to provide professionals with a full ecosystem of the tools they need to bring their ideas to life.”
The Resin Pumping System, designed as an accessory for the Form 3 and Form 3L printers, is a aimed at streamlining production. It facilitates unattended printing, significantly reduces resin costs, and minimizes waste by delivering five liters of resin directly to the printer’s resin tank, allowing continuous printing for extended periods.
